Senior Physicist, Department of nuclear medicine at Royal Melbourne Hospital. Patron of Australians for Just Refugee Programs, Founder of the Afghan Support Group, Victoria, and President of Australian Afghanistan Development Organisation.

Since her arrival in Australia in 1981 Dr Salehi has been an active worker for Afghan refugees and Afghans in Australia. From 1992-1994 she was the President of the Afghan Australia Council, and in 1994 she founded the Afghan Support Group in Victoria, which works for new arrivals.

She is actively working with vital and organizations in Afghanistan.
